Preparing Sabbath

A DEVOTIONAL-STYLE COOKBOOK

The heart of our Creator is at rest.

Let's join Him in this New Testament reality.

Preparing Sabbath is part-devotional, part-cookbook, and it truly sets out to do what the title suggests: to prepare readers both spiritually and practically for the sabbath day.

When faced with the Old Testament viewpoint of "keeping the sabbath holy," man created a lengthy list of rules and regulations about what the people could (and mostly, could not) do on the sabbath day. Breaking these traditions of man were seen as profaning the Holy Day and blaspheming God, and could result in severe punishments for those who engaged.

But was that really what God desired for man when He created and instilled the seventh day as a day of rest?

Find out more in Preparing Sabbath, where we explore the reality of what true rest is in light of the New Covenant offered to us through Christ's atoning blood.
